As the growth of the Adidas Yeezy brand continues to astonish the doubters, fans of the brand, and specifically the 350 model, seem to get frustrated with the lack of innovation in the form of a new model. We saw the 350 V1 flourish in limited color ways, and based on Ye’s creativity, it was safe to assume he would generate a new model, which he did with the V2 with the classic “SPLY 350” text. As time passed on and we saw more and more color-ways, slight changes started to occur. At first it was insignificant, with the addition of a pull tab, or a solid color blocking rather than the pattern seen on the Frozen Yellows or Zebras. However as time passed, fans started to yearn for Ye’s creativity once again, with a call for a V3. Rather than responding to those calls with a new model version, Ye and the Adidas Yeezy team seemed to drastically start to change the V2 model, which begs the question: are the new color-ways and characteristics, Ye’s version of a V3?

The static color way brought in almost new everything. There was new stitching, a new stripe, and reflective stitiching on a more limited version of the shoe. Was this simply an evolution of the V2, or was this Ye’s way of generating a V3, but in a way that would allow “everyone to get Yeezy,” like he once said.

With the more recent models, the stitching has changed, the stripe has changed once again, and the “reflectiveness” of the show is evident in the stripe, no longer the whole upper. It’s clear Ye has no problem with new versions and models with 700 V1, V2, V3, and MNVM, so what’s the difference with the 350? Maybe the 380 was meant to be the 350 V3 , but if you check our twitter, we have pictures of a rumored sample of a V3, which looks oddly similar to the 380.
