Weekend Sneaker Release Roundup: 5/15-5/17

Today we’re talking about the upcoming releases for the weekend of May 15th, and our opinion if it’s a cop or flop. Keep in mind this is just my opinion on what’s gonna do well, but if you like it, cop it regardless.

Up first we have, on May 15th, the Nike Air Max 90 “ Green Duck Camo.” This we be a wide release on footsites, Nike, Dick’s Sporting Goods, JD Sports, among others. Although these may be a nice shoe, I just don’t think this is the time for an Air Max 90 like this, and with the wide release it’s safe to assume these will flop, and there will be a lot of restocks and sales, so don’t bite on the first release with a price of $140. FLOP

Next up, on Saturday May 16th, we have the YEEZY 500 High in the “Tyrian” color way. I don’t like this release at all, and with the performance of models like the 350, which people actually like, it’s hard to believe these will do well unless there are less than 25k pairs. These will retail at $220 (same as 350 but with no boost,” and will be available on yeezysupply.com Adidas.com/yeezy and other international retailers. FLOP

Also on May 16th, we have the Nike Lebron 7 “Media Day,” which Lebron donned this previous NBA season. These shoes are sick, with mix-matched shoes, for Laker’s colors. I don’t think these will be super limited, but I do think they will have resell value in the long run, once the NBA season returns. These will retail at $200 and be available at Nike, Footsites, and places like Dick’s and JD sports. COP

Lastly, we have the long-awaited Ultraboost 1.0 in the triple white color way. Donned by Kanye West when he first joined the 3 stripes, these shoes skyrocketed and propelled the Ultraboost line to the forefront of everyday sneaker heads. These are a hot shoe and will definitely be at the top of my cop list for this weekend. These will retail at $180 as a raffle on the Adidas app. Good Luck. COP
